Katya & Ilya

Bewitching Florals for a Jewish Wedding

Gothic Riverside Nuptials

I met Katya via zoom from her apartment in Portland, Oregon. I loved her instantly. She then began to tell me she wanted a gothic, pagan wedding with skulls and runes involved. I loved her more. Caveat; she couldn’t have TOO many bones so as not to offend her grandmother.

Katya's bouquet did indeed feature actual antlers we sourced locally, but Katya and Ilya were married under a more subtly decorated chuppah where we mimicked the antler aesthetic using barren poplar branches.

The harvest style reception tables at La Pointe featured alternating centerpiece styles: low runners of forest findings,  contrasted with lush compote arrangements on the opposing tables. The Viking drama carried through to the very end, with their black cake, topped with a resin goat skull and floral elements mimicking Katya's bouquet, all nestled atop a bed of moss and fur.
