Maggie & Andres

Wedding Florals | Earl Giles Distillery, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Fierce Love, Spectacular Location, Epic Party

These two families know how to love hard and celebrate hard and planning was a party from start to finish. We had our first consult at the venue, a lively distillery in NE Minneapolis. Earl Giles boasts massive ceilings, colorful murals, and plants from floor to ceiling. Over drinks we learned their head table had to seat 37 of their closest friends — non-negotiable.

Andres' family creates exquisite sipping tequila on their family farm in Mexico, which is bottled in beautiful handblown glass. We all agreed instantly that those bottles would be the vessels for the centerpieces. Maggie's attendants carried lush, structural bouquets of local greenery and plant cuttings, to bring cohesion and not compete with their dresses while Maggie's bouquet was composed mostly of homegrown goodness.

Our challenge was creating a ceremony backdrop that would stand out amongst the visual excitement of Earl Giles, but avoid doing a room flip for that 37-person head table. The solution: layering all 200 blossom-loaded bottles onto the head tables to create a lush backdrop for their beautiful ceremony.
